And I want to be a paperback writer

Zines are my favorite way to shove ideas out of my head and into the tangible world. From The Beatles to Mars, there’s a zine to be made.

It starts with paper.

Each of my zines are printed using only a single sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper. Since every edition is designed black and white, I can use any color paper to help create the identity of the piece.

Next up, design.

To keep it simple, I design just eight pages including the front and back cover. From scanned-in drawings to photo manipulations, I use these zines as a space to experiment.

Print, cut, fold, staple, repeat.

Assembly for these bad boys is the easiest part. All it takes is one cut, two folds, and a few staples. What was once a two-page PDF and a sheet of paper is now my latest edition.
